Emmanuel's choice to stay in Ghana for Afia, mirroring his parents' high school romance, solidified their bond, leading them to follow in their parents' footsteps as lawyers, united by love and purpose. We Met
September 2013
We first met in Arts 5 at Achimota School. Emmanuel was captivated by Afia's long name and brilliance, while Afia (and the whole class) noticed Emmanuel because of his famous father. It was the start of an unexpected journey.
First Phone Call
Christmas Vacation 2013
After Emmanuel asked for Afia’s number at the end of the term, he called her during the holiday break. For Afia, this surprising call marked the official start of their friendship and the beginning of it all.
Officially a Couple
4th July 2015
After a year and a half of an inseparable bond, Afia made a 'bold and rebellious move.' To reassure Emmanuel that he was her one and only, she officially agreed to be his girlfriend, turning their deep friendship into a committed relationship.
Called to the Bar
November 2022
A milestone that proved their journey was destined. After graduating from law school together, they stood side-by-side as they were both called to the Ghana Bar, achieving a shared dream as partners in life and in their careers.
The Proposal
23rd November 2024
Following a Praise Service for Afia's birthday, Emmanuel got down on one knee. After an 11-year journey that started in the classroom, Afia wholeheartedly said 'yes' to spending forever with her best friend.
